The challenge
Kids Trove had a product that required education before it could convert. Parents in Kansas City were not searching "rent toys" because it had never been presented to them as an option. They were buying toys that got outgrown in six weeks, cluttering garages, and listing them on Facebook Marketplace.
The website existed but was not pulling organic traffic. Google Business Profile was incomplete. Social accounts had a handful of followers and no consistent posting cadence.
What we did
We started with the website, fixing technical SEO fundamentals: page speed, proper heading structure, schema markup for local business and product listings, and location-specific copy across the service area. Google Business Profile was completed across all relevant categories with photo updates and Q&A content.
The keyword strategy focused on intent-specific phrases rather than generic terms. "Ride on car rental Olathe," "toy rental for birthday party Kansas City," and category-level terms for each rental type. Each toy category got its own optimized landing page.
On social, we built a content system: weekly reels showing the rental process, unboxing-style content, parent testimonials, and seasonal pushes around birthdays and holidays. Reels outperformed static posts significantly and became the primary growth driver.
The outcome
Local search visibility up 60% across the Kansas City metro. Key category terms now rank on page one. Social accounts grew from a few hundred followers to a consistent audience that drives direct bookings. The business moved from unknown to the go-to name for toy rentals in the area, with customers who discovered them via search and social becoming repeat renters.
