Services/Digital Growth/Front-end Design
Front-end design

Front-end design.

Layout, branding, animation, and interaction design that holds up across phones, tablets, and 4K monitors. Designers who code, engineers who care about kerning.

About this serviceWhat it is, who it is for.

Front-end Design is one of the 8 services in our Digital Growth line. HTML5, CSS3, motion design, sliders, and reusable design systems. Components built once and reused across every product surface you ship. Every engagement starts with a no-charge audit so you know exactly what we will build, why, and what it will move.

We work the same way across every project: an experienced lead who scopes the work and then delivers it, a written quote tied to outcomes (not hours), weekly demos, and a working preview URL inside week one. No bait-and-switch, no junior teams handed your project, no surprise invoices.

Who it is for
  • Owners and founders who want front-end design done by an experienced crew, not learned on their dime.
  • Small and medium businesses outgrowing template-built tools and ready for something custom.
  • Teams that have tried agencies before and want one accountable lead, weekly demos, and a transparent quote.
  • Kansas City businesses that want a local partner with global delivery capacity behind it.
What we deliverEverything in a typical engagement.

Eight pieces of front-end craft we deliver.

01

Web layout design

Responsive grids, typographic hierarchy, content density that respects the reader.

02

Logo and identity

Mark, wordmark, color tokens, type, and a one-page brand sheet your team can reuse.

03

Banners and ad creative

Display ads, social posts, in-app banners. Sized and exported for every channel.

04

PSD / Figma to HTML5

Pixel-faithful conversion to clean, accessible, performant code.

05

Refactor and optimize

Pick up an existing front-end, clean it up, and deliver it faster than it was.

06

2D and 3D animation

CSS, SVG, Canvas, WebGL. Tasteful motion, never decoration for its own sake.

07

Character and brand animation

Mascot moments, loading states, hero illustrations rendered to MP4 or Lottie.

08

Brochures and decks

Print and digital collateral that matches the rest of the brand.

How we run itThe phases, in order.

Research, design, build, deliver.

01

Discover

Goals, audience, constraints. Audit anything that already exists. Written report at the end of week one, signed before any build starts.

02

Design

Wireframes, then hi-fi in your brand. Reviewed weekly. We design for the customer's phone first, the boardroom second.

03

Build

Sprint cadence with weekly demos. Preview URL or sandbox from day one. Production deploys on agreed milestones, never on Fridays.

04

Launch

QA across browsers and devices, performance budget, accessibility audit, analytics wired. Cutover plan reviewed with your team. Documentation handed over.

05

Operate

Optional managed retainer with SLA, monitoring, and incremental delivery. Cancel anytime, no lock-in.

Frequently askedThe questions owners ask.

Before kickoff.

Do you design from scratch or convert a Figma file I already have?

Both. If you have a finished Figma or PSD file, we convert it to clean, accessible, performant HTML5 with pixel-level accuracy. If you are starting from nothing, we run the full design phase first: layout, typography, and a reviewable prototype before any code.

Can you fix an existing front-end instead of rebuilding it?

Yes. Refactor work is common. We take over an existing front-end, clean up the parts that are slow or brittle, and hand it back faster than it was, without a full rebuild unless the audit says a rebuild is actually cheaper.

Do you only do static design, or animation too?

Animation is part of the deliverable list: CSS, SVG, Canvas, and WebGL for interaction states, plus character and brand animation for hero moments and loading screens. It is scoped in or out depending on your budget and site.

What do we actually receive at the end of a design engagement?

Working code, plus the brand assets behind it: logo and identity marks, color tokens, type choices, and a one-page brand sheet your team can reuse. If you need ad creative or print collateral to match, that is part of the same deliverable list.

Can you take on a single landing page, or only full design systems?

Both. We scope small projects, a single page or a brand sheet, the same way we scope a full design system: written quote, timeline, and a working preview before you commit to the rest.

Need design that feels designed not templated?

We do small projects (a single page, a brand sheet) and big ones (a full design system). Tell us the scope.
